Winter showing up on the central coast!

After weeks of high temps and uncharacteristic weather for the season having an actual cold front move through is a pleasant surprise to feel what season I am actually in. With lows below freezing and a daily high of 57 with an added wind chill factor beach weather is gone and lost. Its cold on the beach right now. But still beautiful and amazing.

Heat brings out the crazy! Strange things happen in San Luis Obispo.

It was the first hot weekend of the summer season, temps reaching high 80’s to low 90″. Relatively warm but not breaking any records. Still when it gets hot people get weird, and when people get weird so do the news stories here on the. central coast of California.  This story i found by far kinda takes the cake at the moment. Also this happened really close to where i live. I saw a new van at the trail head but figured they where doing a story on the heat and how people on the trail need to remember water. Same stories you hear at the beginning of every summer. But nope, it was a bit more strange..  As you can see there seems to be some weird things that happen on the central coast.

Here is the KEYT report:

San Luis Obispo woman accused of slashing boyfriend’s throat

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – A San Luis Obispo woman was arrested Saturday evening after authorities say she cut her boyfriends throat and fled the area on foot.

The incident happened at around 6:45 p.m. at Bishop Peak near San Luis Obispo. Haunting Stories of SLO County: Date with destiny

I came across a tweet from SLO news about a tv showed from ID Discovery about a case that started as a Nipomo fire, once the fire was put out a gruesome discovery was found and a murder investigation started. With close ties in SLO itself, this murder investigation is a thriller for sure. If you like true crime this story is haunting…

The premiere of the second season of “Murder Among Friends”, which aired this week, showcases the Dystiny Myers murder, albeit with a slightly altered storyline.
Set in “Nipomo County,” the episode consists of characters playing Myers, Rhonda Whisto, Ty Hill, Frank York and Cody Miller. Interspersed is actual footage from the Myers murder case, as well as interviews with past and present Tribune reporters who discuss the murder in present tense.
“When firefighters extinguish a California brush fire, they unexpectedly ignite a twisted murder mystery – rife with forced prostitution, burning jealousy, and an almost unthinkable mastermind,” a preview of the episode states.
Murder Among Friends is aired on the Investigation Discovery channel, and the episode “Date With Dystiny” can be viewed on the channel’s website. Also, at least for now, the episode is on YouTube.
